L'ULESS est partenaire officiel du hackathon Lux4Good
Friday, 12 October 2018
On 12th and 13th October, the 1st edition of the Lux4Good Hackathon will take place at technoport, in Esch-Belval. Its ambition is to put digital innovation at the service of social and societal impact projects.
The goal for the 6 or 7 teams, each composed of 4 to 6 people from the IT field (developers, product owners, data scientists, designers, ...), will help a social and solidarity or environmentally economy project nascent or already formed. This by developing a tool (website, mobile application, ...) that will allow to accelerate its development and / or increase its impact.
The Organizing Team (InTech) is working together with our partners to develop exciting topics, using the most advanced digital technologies. These themes are the result of concrete problems currently being faced by impact ecosystem actors (ONG, associations...) or other entities, all with the ambition of influencing positively the functioning of our society. The focus is also on digital innovation: all subjects will offer participants the opportunity to implement cutting edge technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, ...
Each project (startup, association, ...) whose subject has been attributed to a team will ensure a continuous presence and help. The team, relying on the expertise of the project owner, can focus on creating and implementing an innovative solution to solve the problem.
This hackathon is a possibility for "digital technicians" (developers, computer scientists, UX / UI designers ...) to (re) discover the social impact: what is it for, its evaluation, how to implement it ...? So many questions on which experts in the field will be happy to enlighten our candidates.
The final evaluation, resulting in a ranking, will be based on the technical quality of the realization, but also on the impact study that the participants will have carried out on the completed project, with the help of experts. The winners will share a prize of several thousand euros.
